Week 4 Fantasy Football 2026: Sunday Lineup Checks Before Kickoff
By FantasyLineups.com

October 4, 2026
Week 4 fantasy football decisions start early today. Indianapolis and Washington kick off at 9:30 a.m. Eastern, so managers with players in the London game need to settle those lineup choices before the usual afternoon window.

Before you lock in your starters, check these key developments—and keep following the news as the day unfolds.

Josh Downs Gets Another Look With Keenan Allen Out
Keenan Allen has been ruled out, making Josh Downs a receiver worth reviewing before the early kickoff. Allen’s absence could create additional opportunities for Downs, although it does not guarantee a specific target total.

If Downs is part of a close start/sit decision, compare him with your alternatives before the London game begins.

Replace Quarterbacks Who Are Confirmed Out
Jayden Daniels and Baker Mayfield are ruled out for Week 4. Neither should remain in an active fantasy lineup.

Managers in two-quarterback and superflex leagues should also confirm replacement starters before using a backup. A depth-chart listing alone does not establish who will start or how much fantasy value he offers.

Keep a Backup Ready for Questionable Receivers
Zay Flowers, Ladd McConkey and Mike Evans remain questionable. That designation does not mean they are confirmed out—or cleared for their usual workload.

Check official inactives before each player’s kickoff. If you are waiting on a later game, keep an eligible replacement available in the same window or afterward.

Preserve Your FLEX Options
When possible, put an early-game running back, wide receiver or tight end in his dedicated position slot. Keeping FLEX open gives you more ways to replace a later player if his availability changes.
That flexibility can matter just as much as choosing between two closely ranked starters.
