Week 4 Quarterback Rankings: By FantasyLineups | Updated September 29, 2026
Scoring: Four points per passing touchdown
Josh Allen leads our Week 4 quarterback rankings, with Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes rounding out the top three. Tyler Shough and Bryce Young also make the list, giving fantasy managers alternatives to some of the position’s more established names.

1. Josh Allen — Buffalo Bills
Matchup: vs. New England Patriots
Allen stays at No. 1 because of his combined passing and rushing-touchdown upside. His left knee deserves attention after a hit against the Chargers, although he remained in the game and continued running. Keep him in your starting plans while monitoring practice participation and any indication that Buffalo could limit his rushing workload.
2. Lamar Jackson — Baltimore Ravens
Matchup: vs. Tennessee Titans
Jackson’s rushing ability gives him a strong foundation, while his passing upside keeps an elite finish within reach. Baltimore could control this matchup, but Jackson does not need a huge passing workload to deliver a strong fantasy performance. He remains one of our most confident starts.
3. Patrick Mahomes — Kansas City Chiefs
Matchup: at Las Vegas Raiders
Mahomes’ ability to sustain scoring drives makes him a strong start against Las Vegas. Kansas City’s running game could take some of the touchdowns near the goal line, but his passing ceiling remains appealing. Allen and Jackson get the edge for their greater rushing upside.
4. Brock Purdy — San Francisco 49ers
Matchup: vs. Denver Broncos
Purdy’s efficiency keeps him near the top, but Mike Evans’ rib injury is an important situation to watch. San Francisco already has several receivers on injured reserve, making another absence especially meaningful. Evans’ availability could change Purdy’s No. 4 ranking, so monitor his status before finalizing your lineup.
5. Trevor Lawrence — Jacksonville Jaguars
Matchup: at Cincinnati Bengals
Lawrence offers passing upside and enough rushing production to strengthen his QB1 outlook. Jacksonville–Cincinnati shapes up as one of the week’s more appealing scoring environments. A competitive game would give Lawrence opportunities to keep producing through all four quarters.
6. Jared Goff — Detroit Lions
Matchup: at Carolina Panthers
Goff brings a strong passing outlook into Sunday night. He depends more on passing touchdowns than the mobile quarterbacks above him, but Detroit’s receiving weapons give him several ways to attack Carolina. A competitive game would help sustain his passing opportunities.
7. Tyler Shough — New Orleans Saints
Matchup: vs. Atlanta Falcons
Shough has produced 917 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns through three games. Chris Olave, Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant give him multiple scoring options heading into Monday night.
Ball security is the concern: three interceptions and three lost fumbles add volatility. Those mistakes temper the excitement, but his passing production keeps him firmly in the starting conversation.
8. Bryce Young — Carolina Panthers
Matchup: vs. Detroit Lions
Young is one of our more aggressive Week 4 selections, with the potential for a busy Sunday night against Detroit. This ranking assumes he is cleared to play without a meaningful limitation.
Carolina expects him to be available after he finished the Cleveland game despite lower-body soreness. Follow-up evaluation and practice participation remain important, particularly with left guard Damien Lewis expected to miss the game with an elbow injury.
9. Joe Burrow — Cincinnati Bengals
Matchup: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Burrow remains a strong starter with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins leading his receiving group. This matchup gives him a path to a big passing day, especially if Jacksonville keeps Cincinnati aggressive. His limited rushing contribution makes passing yards and touchdowns particularly important to his fantasy finish.
10. Dak Prescott — Dallas Cowboys
Matchup: at Houston Texans
Prescott rounds out our top 10 with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens giving him an excellent receiving duo. Their ability to create big plays keeps a strong fantasy performance within reach. He remains a reasonable QB1 choice for managers setting their Week 4 lineups.
