MLB DFS Outlook for Wednesday, June 24: Lineups, Pitching Spots and Bats to Watch

Wednesday’s MLB slate has a little bit of everything: a few strong pitching spots, several offenses worth circling, and enough lineup uncertainty to make checking updates before lock important.

This is the kind of slate where small edges matter. Projected batting order, weather, ballpark, and late lineup changes can swing decisions quickly, so make sure to use the FantasyLineups MLB starting lineups page throughout the day.

Phillies Stand Out as One of the Better Offenses
Philadelphia is one of the first teams that jumps out today. The Phillies get Miles Mikolas, and the top of this lineup has the type of power and patience that can put pressure on a pitcher early.
Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper all bring upside, while Alec Bohm and J.T. Realmuto give the lineup more depth behind them. This is not a spot where fantasy players need to overthink it. Philadelphia should be on the short list for stacks.
Aaron Nola is also worth watching on the other side. Washington has some contact bats, but Nola’s workload and strikeout ceiling keep him in play.

Dodgers-Twins Could Decide the Slate
Shohei Ohtani vs. Joe Ryan is one of the more interesting games of the night.
Ryan’s strikeout projection stands out, but facing the Dodgers is never easy. Ohtani also brings strikeout upside, and Minnesota’s lineup has enough swing-and-miss to make him interesting.
This may not be the highest-scoring game, but it could be one of the most important DFS games on the slate because both pitchers can separate from the field.

Boston-Colorado Has the Run Environment
Any time Boston plays in Colorado, fantasy players have to pay attention.
The total is high, and Coors Field always brings extra appeal for hitters. Rafael Devers, Jarren Duran and the middle of the Boston order are firmly in play. Colorado bats can also be useful depending on salary and lineup spot.
This is a game where ownership could climb, but the run environment makes sense.

Cleveland Offers Value
Cleveland does not always feel like the loudest stack, but this matchup against the White Sox gives the Guardians a path to production.
Tanner Bibee also deserves attention. The White Sox lineup has struggled in several spots, and Bibee has enough strikeout ability to matter on this slate.
This game could be useful on both sides: pitching upside with Bibee and value bats from Cleveland.

Early Pitching Names to Watch
These pitchers stand out early:

  • Joe Ryan
  • Shohei Ohtani
  • Aaron Nola
  • Tanner Bibee
  • Eury Pérez
  • Tarik Skubal
  • Gage Jump

Not every one of them will end up as a final play, but they are the arms worth starting with when building lineups or checking strikeout props.
Early Bats Drawing Attention
A few hitters already show up well in projections and matchup checks:

  • Rafael Devers
  • Marcell Ozuna
  • Jake Burger
  • Joc Pederson
  • Austin Riley
  • Cal Raleigh
  • Eugenio Suárez
  • Kody Clemens

Lineup spot matters here. A player hitting cleanup is not the same play if he drops to seventh, so check confirmed lineups before making final decisions.
Today’s MLB Fantasy Takeaway
The Phillies look like one of the better offenses. Boston-Colorado has the best hitting environment. Dodgers-Twins brings major pitching upside. Cleveland could provide value. There are also several strong strikeout names to sort through before lock.
This is a slate where checking updates matters.
