MLB DFS and Props Preview: Sunday, June 28, 2026 — Sonny Gray Headlines Sunday’s Strikeout Targets
Sunday’s MLB slate brings several attractive pitching matchups, a few offenses that could break out, and one weather spot worth monitoring as the afternoon develops.

Late lineup changes can often create some of the biggest edges on a Sunday slate.

The Houston Astros stand out as one of the better offenses on the board. Yordan Alvarez, Jeremy Peña, Christian Walker and Jose Altuve give Houston plenty of upside against Detroit pitching. The Astros have been putting together quality at-bats recently, and this matchup could allow the middle of the lineup to do damage.

Seattle also deserves attention. Cal Raleigh continues to swing one of the hottest bats among American League catchers, while Julio Rodríguez and Randy Arozarena provide additional power upside. The Mariners have quietly become one of the more dangerous lineups on the slate.

One pitcher worth watching Sunday is Sonny Gray.
Gray enters the afternoon coming off an outstanding performance and continues to pitch deep into games. His ability to generate swings and misses with multiple pitches gives him considerable upside against a Yankees lineup that still contains several strikeout-prone hitters. He remains one of the strongest strikeout targets on the board.
Michael King also deserves consideration against the Dodgers. The matchup itself is difficult, but King has already demonstrated the ability to miss bats against Los Angeles earlier this season. The lower strikeout number keeps him firmly in play.
On the hitting side, Cal Raleigh stands out as one of the strongest total bases candidates. Raleigh continues to hit in the middle of Seattle’s order and possesses the type of power that can cash a total bases prop with one swing. His matchup places him among the more attractive hitters to monitor Sunday afternoon.

The weather situation in Minnesota bears watching. Rain remains a concern for the Rockies-Twins game, which could impact both hitters and pitchers if conditions worsen closer to first pitch.
Baltimore’s young lineup also finds itself in a favorable spot against Washington, while Houston and Seattle remain two offenses that could provide fantasy value across multiple formats.
