NFL Fantasy Stock Watch July 3, 2026

Quarterback Values, Breakout Candidates, and Draft Risers
Training camp is just around the corner, and fantasy managers are beginning to shape their draft boards for the 2026 season. Thursday’s player updates delivered several intriguing storylines, including quarterback movement, rebound candidates, undervalued veterans, and a few players whose draft prices may already be climbing too quickly.
As always, keep an eye on the FantasyLineups NFL Player News page and updated rankings as camps open and depth charts begin to change.

Josh Allen Still Deserves the 1.01 Conversation
Despite what many considered a down season statistically, Josh Allen once again finished atop the fantasy quarterback rankings. His rushing ability continues to separate him from the rest of the position, and Buffalo’s offensive continuity should keep him near the top of draft boards.
Allen remains the safest quarterback selection in fantasy football and still belongs in the overall 1.01 discussion in superflex formats.

Fantasy Outlook: Elite QB1 with unmatched weekly ceiling.
Jalen Hurts Still Offers League-Winning Upside
A new offensive coordinator creates some uncertainty, but Hurts continues to provide one of the highest fantasy floors in football thanks to his rushing production.
Even after losing A.J. Brown, Hurts remains a strong bet to finish inside the top five quarterbacks. Goal-line opportunities and rushing touchdowns continue to make him one of fantasy football’s most valuable assets.

Fantasy Outlook: High-end QB1 at a slight draft discount.
Kyler Murray Could Become One of 2026’s Best Values
A healthy Kyler Murray landing in Minnesota creates one of the more fascinating fantasy situations of the offseason. Surrounded by Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, and an offensive-minded coaching staff, Murray suddenly finds himself in a significantly improved environment.
If he wins the starting job outright, his rushing upside could easily push him into QB1 territory.

Fantasy Outlook: One of the top late-round quarterback targets.
Cam Ward Ready for a Second-Year Leap?
The former No. 1 overall pick showed flashes during his rookie campaign and now enters Year 2 with improved weapons and a new offensive coordinator.
Quarterbacks often make their largest developmental jump during their second season, and Ward’s mobility gives him fantasy upside that many late-round options lack.

Fantasy Outlook: Sleeper quarterback with breakout potential.
Saquon Barkley Could Be a Draft-Day Bargain
After failing to meet massive expectations in 2025, Barkley now enters drafts at a much more affordable price.
The Eagles continue to build their offense around the running game, and reduced workloads could actually help preserve Barkley’s explosiveness throughout the season. He no longer carries the pressure of being an early first-round pick.

Fantasy Outlook: Strong RB1 value if he slips into Round 2.
David Montgomery Fits Zero-RB Builds Perfectly
Montgomery may no longer be viewed as a league-winning running back, but his projected workload remains extremely appealing.
His consistent touchdown production and reliable weekly touches make him an ideal target for fantasy managers who prioritize wide receivers early.

Fantasy Outlook: One of the safest mid-round running backs available.
Zach Charbonnet Worth Monitoring
Charbonnet continues to recover from his knee injury, but positive reports could create significant value later this summer.
If healthy, his prior production near the goal line and his role in Seattle’s offense make him an attractive late-round selection.
Meanwhile, rookie Jadarian Price may be seeing his draft cost climb too quickly before roles become fully established.

Fantasy Outlook:

  • Charbonnet: Late-round upside target.
  • Price: Potentially overvalued at current ADP.

Hunter Henry Continues to Be Undervalued
Tight end remains one of fantasy’s thinnest positions, which makes reliable veterans extremely valuable.
Henry produced one of the best seasons of his career last year and continues to have a strong connection with Drake Maye. His touchdown upside and red-zone usage make him one of the better values outside the top tier.

Fantasy Outlook: Excellent late-round TE option.
Ricky Pearsall Could Break Out in San Francisco
After injuries limited his early career development, Pearsall enters 2026 healthy and positioned for a larger role.
His route-running ability and big-play potential make him one of the more interesting upside receivers in the middle rounds.

Fantasy Outlook: WR4 with breakout potential.
