NFL Training Camp Is Moving Fast — Here’s What Fantasy Managers Need to Know
Training camp is underway, and fantasy football depth charts are already beginning to take shape.
Every practice brings new information: players earning first-team reps, veterans returning from injuries, young receivers making their case for larger roles, and position battles that could change draft values before the season begins.

At FantasyLineups.com, we track the news and pair it with fantasy analysis so you can quickly understand what happened — and why it matters for your team.
Early Training Camp Storylines We’re Watching
Luther Burden III continues to build breakout buzz. Caleb Williams praised the second-year receiver, saying Burden makes defenders miss and “catches everything.” After becoming more involved late in his rookie season, Burden enters 2026 as one of the more interesting Year 2 receivers to watch. RotoBaller currently ranks him as the WR21.
The Patriots’ receiving room is already creating intrigue. Kayshon Boutte has produced highlight plays early in camp, while Romeo Doubs hasn’t separated himself through the opening practices. DeMario Douglas has also worked with the first-team offense. With A.J. Brown atop the group, the competition behind him could have a major impact on late-round fantasy value.
Tyler Warren has legitimate TE1 upside. Warren commanded 112 targets as a rookie and finished among fantasy’s top five tight ends despite scoring only four times. With Michael Pittman Jr. now in Pittsburgh, Warren has a path to another significant workload and enters the season as RotoBaller’s TE4.
Matthew Golden has an opportunity in Green Bay. After an inconsistent rookie season, changes to the Packers’ receiving room could create a much larger role for Golden. He enters camp with a chance to establish himself outside and potentially outperform his current WR50 ranking.
Jayden Daniels remains a major bounce-back candidate. An injury-disrupted 2025 followed his historic rookie season, but Daniels and Terry McLaurin enter camp healthy after working together during the offseason. His rushing ability continues to give him one of fantasy football’s highest quarterback ceilings.
And those are only a few of the developments we’re following.
