NFL Week 1 Fantasy Football Rankings Update:Updated September 13, 2026
Week 1 is finally here, but several late injury and lineup developments have changed the fantasy football rankings heading into Sunday.

FantasyLineups.com has updated its weekly quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end rankings using the latest fantasy news, team depth charts, injury reports, projected roles and Week 1 matchups.
Here are the most important changes fantasy managers should know before setting their lineups.
Michael Mayer Moves Up With Brock Bowers Out
Brock Bowers has been ruled out for Las Vegas, giving Michael Mayer a significantly larger role against Miami.
Mayer recorded 18 receptions for 196 yards and one touchdown across four games without Bowers last season. Miami also allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends in 2025.
Mayer moves into low-end TE1 territory and is one of the best widely available streaming options of Week 1.
Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson Get a Favorable Matchup
New Orleans will face a Detroit defense missing starting safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph.
With rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson beginning the season on Injured Reserve, Chris Olave should dominate the Saints’ targets. Tight end Juwan Johnson could operate as the second option in the passing game.
Olave is now a high-end WR1, while Johnson moves into TE1 consideration.
Atlanta’s Passing Game Takes a Hit
The Falcons will be without quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. against Pittsburgh. Cooper Rush is expected to start, but he experienced back spasms Saturday.
The quarterback situation lowers the ceiling for Drake London and Kyle Pitts. Both players remain usable, but fantasy managers should adjust expectations—especially if Rush is limited or Atlanta is forced to turn to undrafted rookie Jack Strand.
Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze Need Sunday Checks
Malik Nabers is questionable with a knee injury, although he practiced fully throughout the week.
Rome Odunze is also questionable after being limited by a calf injury. Odunze expects to play, but his workload could be affected.
Both remain in the rankings, but fantasy managers should confirm their active status before kickoff.
Emeka Egbuka Is Ready for Week 1
Emeka Egbuka practiced fully and does not carry a final injury designation.
Jalen McMillan is doubtful with a knee injury, potentially creating additional opportunities for Egbuka and Chris Godwin against Cincinnati. Egbuka has moved up the FantasyLineups.com wide receiver rankings.
Dallas Goedert’s Role Looks Safer
Philadelphia placed rookie tight end Eli Stowers on Injured Reserve, removing one potential source of competition behind Dallas Goedert.
Goedert remains one of the strongest Week 1 tight end options in Philadelphia’s matchup with Washington.
Final Week 1 Reminder
Injury reports can change a player’s outlook, but the Sunday inactive lists provide the final answers. Official inactive players are normally announced approximately 90 minutes before kickoff.
FantasyLineups.com will continue monitoring breaking news throughout the morning.
