Monday Night Football features the New York Giants at Los Angeles Rams, giving DFS players one final Showdown Tournament to attack this week.
The key to Monday night’s slate could be game script.
If the Rams Control the Game
A Los Angeles lead would put Kyren Williams in an attractive position. More second-half rushing opportunities could make him an important piece of Rams-heavy Showdown builds.
Matthew Stafford also deserves attention, but the status of Puka Nacua needs to be monitored before finalizing lineups. Any change to Nacua’s availability could significantly affect how targets are distributed throughout the Rams offense.
If the Giants Keep It Close
This is where Cam Skattebo gets interesting.
His workload gives New York a way to sustain drives and keep Stafford on the sideline. Skattebo is showing up favorably in the FantasyLineups projections and Prop Analyzer, making him one of our favorite players to watch Monday night.
Jaxson Dart also brings rushing upside at quarterback. Even if New York falls behind, additional passing situations could create more scramble opportunities for Dart.
Build Around a Game Script
For Showdown Tournaments, don’t simply take the six players with the highest projections.
If you expect the Rams to control the game, build around Stafford, Williams and the Los Angeles offense.
If you expect the Giants to stay competitive, Skattebo and Dart become more interesting building blocks with Rams players coming back on the other side.
That’s the type of correlation we’re looking for when constructing tournament lineups.
