NFL Week 2 Fantasy Football Rankings: Updated September 20, 2026
Week 2 is here, and Sunday morning brings the decisions that can make or break a fantasy matchup.
Injuries, changing depth charts, new roles and Week 1 usage have already created significant movement in the FantasyLineups rankings. Before setting your lineup, here are some of the most important players and situations we’re watching for Week 2.

Week 2 Quarterbacks to Target
Lamar Jackson — Baltimore Ravens
Jackson remains one of our highest-ranked quarterbacks for Week 2 against New Orleans.
Baltimore will be without Zay Flowers, but Jackson’s combination of passing and rushing production keeps his weekly ceiling among the best at the position.
Caleb Williams — Chicago Bears
Williams enters Week 2 as one of our favorite QB1 options.
Chicago gets Minnesota at home, and Williams has enough weapons around him—and enough rushing ability himself—to provide both a strong floor and significant upside.
Joe Burrow — Cincinnati Bengals
Burrow carries some injury concern into the weekend, but he returned to full practice.
Assuming he’s active as expected, we’re keeping him firmly in QB1 territory against Houston.
FantasyLineups Week 2 Top 5 QBs
- Josh Allen — BUF (played Thursday)
- Lamar Jackson — BAL
- Jalen Hurts — PHI
- Jayden Daniels — WAS
- Caleb Williams — CHI
Running Back to Watch: David Montgomery
One of the more interesting changes entering 2026 has been David Montgomery’s move to Houston.
After a huge Week 1 workload, Montgomery gets Cincinnati in Week 2 and has quickly established himself as an important fantasy option.
We’re ranking Montgomery inside our Top 20 running backs this week.
The combination of rushing workload and scoring opportunity makes him particularly interesting for managers deciding between an established starter and an early-season breakout.
Wide Receiver Risers
Jaxon Smith-Njigba — Seattle Seahawks
JSN continues to climb.
We’ve moved him into our Top 5 Week 2 wide receivers for Seattle’s matchup with Arizona.
His combination of target volume and big-play ability gives him legitimate WR1 overall upside whenever Seattle’s offense gets rolling.
Emeka Egbuka — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Egbuka is another player moving upward.
After seeing his early-season role develop, we’re comfortable treating him as a strong WR2 against Cleveland rather than waiting another week for confirmation.
Parker Washington — Jacksonville Jaguars
Washington is one of the biggest risers in our rankings.
He isn’t simply a deep sleeper anymore. His role has earned him a spot inside our Top 20 Week 2 wide receivers heading into Jacksonville’s matchup with Denver.
Injury Situations Fantasy Managers Need to Know
Several significant receivers will not play Sunday:
Nico Collins — OUT
Zay Flowers — OUT
Michael Pittman Jr. — OUT
Marvin Mims Jr. — OUT
Jauan Jennings — OUT
There are also three situations that deserve monitoring:
Puka Nacua — Questionable
Nacua remains our WR1 if active, but his hip injury needs to be monitored before Monday night’s game.
Chris Olave — Questionable
Olave remains highly ranked if active.
Ladd McConkey — Questionable
McConkey returned to limited practice, but fantasy managers should confirm his status before locking him into lineups.
Tight End Sleeper: Michael Mayer
Brock Bowers enters the weekend doubtful for Las Vegas.
That puts Michael Mayer squarely on the fantasy radar against the Chargers.
Mayer isn’t suddenly an elite TE1, but increased routes and targets could make him one of the more interesting Week 2 streaming options.
FantasyLineups Week 2 Top Players
