Josh Allen leads our Week 2 fantasy football quarterback rankings for 2026, followed by Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts. The top of the position remains loaded with dual-threat quarterbacks, while several high-upside passers round out the top 10 ahead of Thursday Night Football.

Three Takeaways From Our Preliminary QB Rankings
Josh Allen remains the top overall option. Allen’s combination of passing volume, red-zone involvement and rushing production gives him the highest weekly ceiling at the position. His ability to create points as a runner separates him from the other elite quarterbacks and keeps him firmly atop the rankings.
Brock Purdy narrowly edges Caleb Williams. Purdy sits at No. 6 in a close matchup with Williams, whose rushing ability gives him significant fantasy upside. The game environment could ultimately determine which quarterback delivers the stronger performance, but Purdy has the slight edge in our preliminary rankings.
Herbert and Maye carry some uncertainty. Ladd McConkey’s rib injury is worth monitoring because of his importance to Justin Herbert’s passing game. Drake Maye remains an appealing fantasy option thanks to his rushing ability, though the absence of A.J. Brown limits the overall outlook for his matchup.
No quarterback in this top 10 has been reported out for Week 2 as of Wednesday morning. Rankings will remain subject to change as injury reports, practice participation and official game designations become available.
